The American Music Awards arrived, and so did the red carpet looks.
The 51st annual AMAs aired live on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+ only for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME on Memorial Day, May 26, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The award show was held at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas and hosted by singer-actress Jennifer Lopez. This was J.Lo’s second time emceeing, as she hosted in 2015.
Singers Kehlani and Reneé Rapp risked wardrobe malfunctions while Ciara suffered a near-nip slip on the carpet. Reality star Heidi Montag looked unrecognizable in a sparkly blue jumpsuit while meme star Rebecca Black showed up in a wedding dress.

This is the first AMAs to air on CBS and not be in Los Angeles. It’s also the first broadcast since the show last aired in November 2022. ABC initially ran the music awards ceremony from 1974 to 2022.
Rod Stewart received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The 80-year-old rockstar performed for the first time at the AMAs since 2004. Janet Jackson was presented the Icon Award and took the stage in the Rhythm Nation singer’s first TV performance since 2018.
Gloria Estefan took the stage at the AMAs for the first time in 32 years. Rod and Gloria co-hosted the AMAs in 1989 and 1990, respectively. Other performers included Benson Boone, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Lainey Wilson, and Reneé Rapp.
Alix Earle, Cara Delevingne, Ciara, Dan + Shay, Dylan Efron, Jordan Chiles, Kai Cenat, Megan Moroney, Nikki Glaser, Shaboozey, Tiffany Haddish, and Wayne Brady are some of the celebs who presented awards.
