WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – Black Americans for a Better Future is hosting an economic summit in Washington this weekend with the theme, the Trump administration is open for business.
The schedule includes conversations with members of the Trump administration, former members of Congress and ambassadors from African nations.
Karla Trotman, the President and CEO of Pennsylvania-based Electro Soft, Incorporated said the Trump administration’s tariffs have been hurting her bottom line, and she’s attending the conference to learn how to successfully navigate the changing economic landscape.
“I think we’re beyond the point of complaining right now, yes. Make your voice heard,” she said. “But I also believe that we need to take the time to understand how we can impact change. And change happens during the budgetary phase. It happens during the conversational phase, and we are being invited to the table to have those conversations.”
She said she’s also trying to learn more on how to marry politics and business.
