Blackness at Royal Wedding Has Prompted Racist Trolls to Crawl Out of Thier Holes

Saturday’s royal wedding meant all eyes were watching Prince Harry and former actress Meghan Markle as they became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but several people got fired up over the Black influence that permeated the ceremony.

The May 19 ceremony included a Black gospel choir, cellist and reverend, nodding to Markle’s Black parentage, which comes from the Black mother who raised her.

Gibson and The Kingdom choir sang a rousing version of “Stand By Me,” while Rev. Curry gave a 13-minute sermon about love.

“I am talking about some power. Real power,” he said. “Power to change the world! If you don’t believe me, well, there were some old slaves in America’s Antebellum South who explained the dynamic power of love, and why it has the power to transform.”

Additionally, there were arguably more Black faces in attendance at the ceremony than any royal wedding in the past, including Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey, Idris Elba and model fiancé Sabrina Dhowre and Markle’s former “Suits” co-star Gina Torres.

And while lots of Twitter users applauded the performances and appearances of Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Rev. Bishop Michael Curry, others hurled racial slurs in describing the ceremony’s moments.

Elsewhere online, negative, racist comments continued.

“An absolute debacle,” someone said. “This is not the Brexit I voted for.”

“The BBC is spreading multicultural communist propaganda,” another said.

However, several Twitter users hit back at the racist remarks.

All these racist comments I’m seeing about Harry, Meghan, and the Royal Wedding are absolutely heinous. I’m embarrassed for anyone partaking in this hate! You are what is referred to as human garbage! #HarryAndMeghan #RoyalWedding

Here’s a comment on the Royal Wedding: if you don’t care about it, or you hate it, that’s fine you have that right.

People who were really opposed to “race-mixing“ would oppose their own existence, as a DNA test will reveal. No such thing as “pure“ blood.

But these people are not opposed to race-mixing. They’re opposed to *Black* people.
