COLUMBIA, S.C. — Since its official public opening in June 2023, Charleston’s International African American Museum (IAAM) has been as a place for visitors to come and experience the true history and influence of African Americans in South Carolina.
After observing the increasing number of guests passing through IAAM, the Richland County Conservation Commission (RCCC) is announcing the launch of the ENRICH Tour, a self-guided, mobile audio tour highlighting the rich African American heritage in Columbia and the surrounding areas.
RCCC’s ENRICH African American Heritage Tour can be downloaded from Apple Store and Google Play to smartphones, tablets or laptops so that anyone can follow the carefully curated audio tour that features an interactive map with GPS-triggered audio narration, along with text, images, and weblinks for further information.

Once downloaded, the tour can be enjoyed at each site as text and images will automatically launch as you approach each story location.
