Rochester Black Culture Festival starts July 26: What you need to know – Democrat and Chronicle

On July 26 and 27, Parcel 5 will be full of music, culture and art as Rochester celebrates the sixth annual Black Culture Festival.
The festival is a celebration of both Black excellence and innovation, featuring over 50 Black-owned businesses, food trucks, artists, community organizations and musicians.
“This year’s theme, ‘Dripping in Culture,’ is centered on proudly celebrating the creativity, style and entrepreneurial spirit that has always been at the heart of Black culture,” said Will Powers, founder of the Black Culture Festival.
The theme aims to highlight African-American influence in fashion, creativity and entrepreneurship.
Black Culture Festival is a family-friendly event with activities for all ages, including a kid zone, family fashion show, hair expo, double Dutch competition, spades tournament giveaways and more.
“The festival isn’t just for the Black community, it’s a space where people of all backgrounds can come together, experience the richness of Black excellence and be part of a joyful, empowering celebration that uplifts everyone,” Powers said.
