Adventure Awaits: Help Send Inner City Kids to Africa
The Kids Free Trip to Africa Program offers underprivileged children an all-expenses-paid trip to Ghana,
West Africa, to explore a new culture and discover the wonders of the continent. Mekhi Thomas, Bryce
Thompson, and Jeremiah Crawford from Muskegon, Michigan, and Jaylen and Jordan from Apopka,
Florida, are among the students who performed academically well and have been selected for this
program.

“I’m elated and it’s a lifetime opportunity. I’ve never been outside of the country, and I am extremely
happy for them for having this once in a lifetime. We are very grateful and this trip to Africa is the icing
on the cake with them both graduating from Apopka high school this year,” said Camelia Bernard,
mother of Jaylen and grandmother of Jordan.

“I appreciate the opportunity he’s been given and I’m sure he’ll use this as a stepping stone to go further
in whatever he does,” said Sunaide Mack, mother of Bryce.
“I received the news my son had been chosen for the KFTTA and we were both very grateful for this
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I want to give thanks to Paul Billings and Mickey Wallace for choosing
Mekhi for this trip”, said Latoya Thomas, mother of Mekhi.
The children from Muskegon, Michigan, are sponsored by 103.7 The Beat, and the children from Florida
are sponsored by 98.5 The Wire.
This isn’t your average vacation. Kids will get the chance to participate in traditional ceremonies, visit
historic sites like the slave castles and the W.E.B. DuBois Centre in Accra, and experience life in a
completely different way. They’ll create memories that will last a lifetime, all thanks to your help.
By donating to this program, you’ll be making a huge impact on these children’s lives. Your donation will
cover everything from travel, accommodations, food, passports, and vaccinations. You’ll be helping to
create a safe, secure, and unforgettable trip for these deserving kids.
But it’s more than just a trip. It’s a chance to inspire these children, to show them that the world is full of
possibilities and that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. You’ll be promoting cultural
understanding and appreciation and helping to break down barriers that divide us.
