It’s graduation season around the country, and on Saturday, a young man in Georgia graduated high school and his famous father and his best friend couldn’t have been more proud.

Yep. That’s Andre 3000 and Big Boi, better known as the legendary hip-hop duo Outkast. The young man in the picture is Big Boi’s 18-year-old son Bamboo.
If you remember the 2000 hit “Bombs Over Baghdad,” Big Boi name-checked his son when he said “I gotta baby on the way/by the name of Bamboo.” The boy is now a high school grad and the event brought the former musical tag-team partners back together for one day.

Earlier today, just in time for Mother’s Day, Andre released a pair of new songs dedicated to his late mother. He broke the news on his Instagram account using photos from the day before his mother passed away in 2013.

The two tracks are called “Me&My” and “Look Ma No Hands.” The first was written before his parents died, but was recorded three years ago after both of his parents passed while “Look Ma No Hands” was recorded late last year.
